Herbert F. Shultz, Sr.

Herbert F. Shultz, Sr., age 77, passed away October 7, 2014 at Kansas City Hospice House. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Children's Transportation Fund, Abdallah Shrine or the Kansas City Hospice House.

Herb was born November 16, 1936 in Kansas City, KS. He served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves, and retired as a plant manager for the Unified Government of Kansas City, KS.

He was an active member of the Abdallah Shrine, (Past Potentate 2002), the Ben-Hur Masonic Lodge, and the Royal Order of Jesters Court 93. Herb was also involved in the Boy Scouts of America for over 26 years, and past-president of the Merriam Lane Sertoma Club.

Herb was passionate about serving those in need when transporting children to the Shriner's Hospital in St. Louis, MO and Cincinnati, OH.

He is survived by his "special lady" Ann Brown, his children Jay D. (Cristy) Shultz, Bryan K. (Georgia) Shultz, Suzie Sheldon, and James L. (Errin) Shultz, grandchildren Maria, Jason, Mikal, Jeff, Joey, Jeanette, Chris, Courtney, Jimmy, and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Letta Shultz, his son, Frank, and his grandson, Joshua.
