Herbert Erck Jr. of Olathe, KS, husband of Patricia A Erck died on Sunday, August 18, 2013.
Herb loved traveling to all sorts of places. His love of adventure, collecting clocks, barometers, and antiques he just loved. He treasured his time in Florida and his friends there.
He was a good father and provider and loved his daughters Cheryl (Russ) Piscutta and Michelle (Scott) Brenizer and adored time with his grandchildren, John Stanks and Charity Brenizer. He is also survived by his sisters; Geneive Grimm and Sharon Bowers and many other relatives that he loved.
Herb graduated from Delaware Valley Regional in Pittstown, NJ in 1963 and Trenton Technical Institute in Trenton, NJ.
Herb retired from Sprint after 30 years. He also enjoyed his courier job at ASAP after his retirement.
A veteran, he served his country in Vietnam in 1967-1968 and belonged to the VFW 7857 in Milford, NJ. He was also a member of The Branches Church in Olathe, for over 20 years. The family suggests contributions to The Branches Church, 13020 Blackbob Rd. Olathe, KS 66062 and/or Kansas City Hospice.
