Al was born April 8, 1929 to Everett and Sadie Baxter in El Paso, Arkansas. After serving his country during WWII he settled Northern California and married Mary Lou Murphy (who preceded him in death in March 2, 1983), where he lived until 1988. He retired from Prescolite as a supervisor after 35 years. He then married Betty M. Baxter in 1984 and they relocated to Kansas in 1988.
He was a member of Prairie Center Church of God of Prophecy in Olathe.
He was preceded in death by; a brother; Jerald Baxter, and a sister; Hilda Baxter.
Al is survived by his wife; Betty M. Baxter, his children; Geraldine Baxter Westberg, Joy Baxter, Thom Baxter, Kathy Baxter McRoy, Michael Thomas Baxter, Mark Alan Baxter, and Patrick Brian Baxter, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
