Helen Tansley

Helen Ernestine Hulcy Tansley was born January 16, 1920 in Osawatomie, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Hannah Talbert Hulcy. Helen graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1939. She was married to Charles B. Tansley for 31 years, until his death in 1998. Helen is preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, and her parents. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Helen worked for the telephone company in Topeka, Kansas, Spokane, Washington, and retired in 1975 from Northwestern Bell Telephone in Omaha, Nebraska after over thirty years of service. She was a former member of the Daughter of the Nile in Omaha, Nebraska, and also belonged to the Naccissis Chapter, order of Eastern Star in Omaha, Nebraska. She is also a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe, Kansas and a member of the Christian Gathering Sunday School Class.
