Helen Marie Rapp, 91, of Overland Park passed away peacefully on June 9, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Rocheport Cemetery in Rocheport, MO.
Helen was born on March 15, 1930 in Columbia, MO, the daughter of James Lyman and Dorothy Juanita (Perkins) Bradshaw.
On May 14, 1948, Helen married Daniel E. Rapp, who preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage.
Helen is survived by her children, James Rapp and his wife Cynthia of Overland Park, KS, and Cindi Rapp of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren Ehren Brent (Dan) and Alex Rapp (Kelli); and great-grandchildren Katie, Elliot, William, Isaac and Robert; and sister Mary June O'Dell.
In addition to her husband Daniel, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved sister (and best friend) Betty Hombs; and two brothers, Bill and Joe Bradshaw.
Helen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins. She was an enthusiastic doll collector, enjoyed cooking, getting her hair and nails done and was never seen without earrings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Kids TLC, 480 South Rogers Road, Olathe, KS 66062 (details can be found at Kids TLC).
