Helen Irene Perry-Hower

Helen Irene Hower, 91 of Overland Park, passed away on January 4, 2024 at Menorah Medical Center.

She was born on May 18, 1932 to Walter and Opal (Beach) Biester in Soldier, Kansas.

On August 12, 1947, she married Robert E. Perry. She later married Max E. Hower.

Before she retired, Helen work for UMB.

Helen lived in Overland Park, Kansas, and was a member of United Methodist Church.

Helen is survived by her loving daughters, Dianna Trippett (Derrol), Peggy Whitmire (Joseph), 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Walter Biester, husbands Robert E. Perry and Max E. Hower, son Ronald E. Perry, sisters Maureen Barnes and Sharon Williams, grandchildren Dustin Whitmire and Perri Jo Whitmire.

Funeral service will be held on January 10, 2024 at 2:00pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel in Topeka, Kansas. Pastor David Myers, will be the officiant.

Pallbearers for the service are, Jason Schoemann, Jared Schoemann, Bryan Schoemann, Logan Schoemann, Greg Thompson, and Ray Barnes.
