Helen Patterson left her friends and family November 12, 2005. At the time of her passing, she was living at The Good Samaritan Care Center. Mrs. Patterson was born September 1, 1916 in Thompson Falls, Montana to Emmanuel and Ella Margaret (Linebarger) Murray. Helen worked as a beautician, telephone operator, and, prior to retirement, was the financial officer at the Yankton State Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota. Helen married Eugene Patterson December 5, 1942 in Seattle, Washington. After completing his duty in the Navy, the couple moved to Harding County, SD to ranch. Preceding her in death, were her parents, two brothers and her husband of 55 years. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Broz and Gene Shuey, both of Olathe, KS., and one son, James of Richwood, Ohio. Helen also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Helen will be missed by all who loved her. No services are planned by the family at this time, however, Gene Shuey and her sister, Judy, are planning a celebration of Helen Patterson's life for friends and family from 12-5 p.m. Saturday November 19, at 15773 S.
