Helen Morgan

Helen Jean Morgan, 78, of Olathe, Kan., passed away December 26, 2014, with her family by her side. Helen was born on May 12, 1936, to Ralph and Elsie Cacy in Stockton, Mo. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1954 and received her Registered Nurses License in 1957. She worked at the hospital in Humansville, Mo., before marrying her high school sweetheart, Robert Lewis Morgan, in 1958 and moving to Springfield, Mo. In the ensuing years the couple relocated to Bolivar, Mo., and Topeka, Kan., before settling in Olathe in 1978. Helen worked as a nurse, including serving as Director of Surgery at Olathe Medical Center, until she retired in 2002. Family always came first for Helen, and she especially loved being a grandmother to her five grandchildren, who lovingly nicknamed her "G." She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elsie, and her husband, Bob. She is survived by her sons, Greg Morgan and Alan Morgan of Olathe; her daughter-in-law, Melanie Morgan; her brother, Joe Cacy; and five grandchildren: Ally, Sam, Josie, Maci and Abbey.
