Helen Catherine Hamilton went home to be with the Lord on April 25,
2013. Helen was born August 8, 1930 to Max and Vidalia Weiss. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Edward and Winifred Schuster. On Dec. 24, 1948, Helen married Robert (Bob) Hamilton. They had two daughters, Theresa and Lisa. During her 50 year career, Helen worked as a physician practice manager. She was always interested in learning new things, diving into the latest technology, and working on special projects. Often, those projects became Bob's as well. She loved gardening, fishing, sewing, and cooking, but most of all, she loved being with her family, by whom she was lovingly called GaGa. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy and she was theirs. With a servant's heart, Helen was truly beautiful from the inside out. She was preceded in death by her grand parents, Edward and Winifred Schuster, and parents, Max and Vidalia Weiss. She is survived by her husband, Robert Hamilton; her daughter Theresa and husband Ron Schwendemann; her daughter Lisa and husband David Snow; her granddaughter Jill and husband Jeff Carrier; her grandson Cory and wife Angela Schwendemann; her grandson Ryan and wife Carrie Schwendemann; as well as six great grandchildren, Jack, Lillie and Maggie Carrier, Kaden and Payton Schwendemann, and Mira Schwendemann; her sister Sheri and husband frank Drysdale; and her sister-in-law Ina Mae King. Helen will be greatly missed by all.
A Reception will follow services at the home of Robert Hamilton. Any memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation of greater Kansas City.
