Helen Loftus Freeman passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Olathe, KS. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11AM Wed. June 15 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 16000 W. 143rd St. Olathe, KS. The family will receive friends from 10-11AM Wed. at the church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
Helen was born and lived in Olathe, KS (except for 5 years at the Lake of the Ozarks). She was proud of being raised on a farm, and how close the farm neighbors were. She enjoyed telling people what Olathe looked like when it was a small town. She enjoyed being with the grandkids and their sleep-overs and especially enjoyed the holidays when all the families got together.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andy and Blanche Loftus and her brother Andy Jr. and her husband of 43 years Larry Freeman.
She is survived by her Children; Christina (Greg) Derby, Dennis Freeman, Danette (Brandon) Sutherland and Grand Children; Brennan and Mattison Derby, Cooper, Carson, & Chase Freeman, and Hallory and Baylor Sutherland, her 2 sisters Mary Homan (Leroy) and Geraldine Lord (Bob) and sister in law Barb Loftus.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Olathe Medical Center's Hospice House.
