Heidlinda Kim Kriner, 49, was born on July 22, 1972, in Seoul, South Korea, to Curtis B Weeden and Won Cha Kim. Linda was called home on June 14, 2022, at KU Medical in Kansas City, KS. She grew up in Junction City, KS obtaining her diploma at Junction City High School. Linda received her Cosmetology License at Trendsetters School of Cosmetology. She then got her Cosmetology Instructor License in Topeka, KS at Community College of Cosmetology. After completing her Instructor License, she later opened her salon by the name of "Cosmopolitan" in Lawrence, KS.
Linda shared most of her love with her sons. Her firstborn, Ty Curtis Alholm of Shawnee, KS, was born on Dec 10, 1998. Linda then married the love of her life, John R Kriner, on July 2, 2003. In their marriage, Linda gave birth to their son Tobius Densel Kriner of Olathe, KS, the day before her 33rd birthday in 2005. Her favorite thing to do in life was being a mom. In August 2010, Linda and her family made Olathe their new home. She loved MMA, but wrestling tugged away at her heartstrings. Linda recently opened up her own Wrestling Center in Olathe, KS, on December 1, 2020. She invested so much time, sweat, and tears into wrestling. But, most importantly, she supported her love into being a "Wrestling Mom." Primarily to her boys, as well as many other wrestlers she encountered as she traveled to different states and many other cities in Kansas to support ALL wrestlers to be the best they could be no matter what. She shared her heart with EVERYBODY. Her love for others was one of a kind. She took care of everyone around her. She was the heart of us all. She was known for hosting memorable Family Dinners, BBQs, and Crab Boils. She also enjoyed talking about her Korean heritage and visiting Virginia Beach. Linda wanted everyone to "Love, Live, and Laugh" and remember each life lesson she taught us.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving parents, Won Cha Kim and Curtis B Weeden, grandparents Roosevelt and Rosie Weeden, and brother Curtis Samuel Weeden.
She is survived by her husband, John Kriner, and sons Ty Alholm and Tobius Kriner. Two brothers, Tong Weeden (LeTonya) of Colorado Springs, CO, and James Roosevelt Weeden of San Francisco, CA. Sister Melinda Weeden of Olathe, KS., four nieces, Alysia, Jasmine, Mari, and Milyee, and three nephews, Kordell, Juan, and Tahj. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Private services will be held for the immediate family only. The family welcomes others to a Celebration of Life event at a later date.
