Heather Marie Coutts

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heather Marie Broderick-Coutts, age 50, on November 23, 2024 at Menorah Medical Center. 

Heather was born on June 15, 1974 in Merriam, KS and raised by her beloved mother Patti Hostetler. She graduated from Shawnee Mission West in 1993. 

On September 27, 2003 Heather married Curt Robert Coutts and they made their home in Gardner, KS for 21 years. Heather and her husband owned and operated For the Love of Paws, LLC providing a variety of canine pet services. Dogs were her passion and bringing families together with a “furever” friend brought her absolute delight. 

She is survived by her loving husband Curt, daughter Kelsey Standen and her fiancé Amanda King, sister Shayla Wright, and her mother Patricia Hostetler. Heather also adored her nephew Locklan Riley and nieces Vallyn Riley and Maggie Coutts. She was preceded in death by grandparents Paul and Marie Broderick, Stan and Bonnie Hostetler and cherished uncle Jimmy “Umpie” Broderick. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to KC Pet Project.
