MR. HARRY "WAYNE" SHIPMAN
Age 74, of Olathe, KS , passed away April 28, 2008, at home surrounded by his family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Hospice of Olathe Medical Center for the wonderful care they provided Wayne and his family during his long battle with cancer.
Wayne was born August 21, 1933 in Olathe. Following graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia. After serving in the Air Force, he then worked in the retail business over thirty years, until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Edna Shipman, and two brothers, Bill and Gary.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia, and their three children, Patti (Larry) DeGarmo, Michael (Lesa) Shipman, and Sandy (John) Hines, grandchildren, Kelly, Clint, Jamie, Lindsey, and Anna. Also survived by great-grandchildren; Logan, Aaron, and Jacob, and his sister, Sue (Charles) Hannon.
