HARRY E. CARTER, 72, of Overland Park died May 24, 2012 at Olathe Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, KS at 2:00 pm, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
The only child of William and Beatrice Carter, Harry was born in Hudson, New York. After serving in the Air Force from 1961 to 1965, Harry was an accounts manager for IBM for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mary Ann (Leake) of the home, son Jeffrey Carter and wife Monica, daughter Kristin Tischer and husband Jeff, grandson Jackson Tischer, granddaughters Madeleine and Paris Carter, and soon-to-arrive Baby Girl Tischer, along with numerous nieces, nephews and in laws. Memorials may be sent to Wayside Waifs.
