Harry A. Saltzman, 91, Olathe, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012. The family suggests contributions to Odyssey Hospice 4911 Arrowhead Dr., Independence, MO.
Harry was born June 27, 1920 in Johnson County, Kansas living in Olathe most of his life. He attended Olathe High School. He worked from age 16 until he was 90 years old, first with WPA, finally with Olathe Ford delivering automobiles between dealers. In between 16-90 years of age he was a millwright and carpenter, being a member of the local millwright union. He became construction superintendant for the J.C. Penney Warehouse.
He was a life long member of Salem Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Hattie Saltzman, wife; Lola, a brother; Elmer Saltzman.
He is survived by his son; Russ (Dianne) Saltzman, grandchildren; Karl, Paul, Elizabeth, Richard, Thomas, Joan, and Hattie, great-grandchildren; Alexander, Tristan, Max, and Charlene.
