Harold R. Wagener, 76, passed away at his home on the morning of Wednesday, January 27, 2021. He was born on July 28, 1944 to Harold and Laura S. Wagener in St. Louis, Missouri.
Harold married Jacqueline M. Bailey on June 10, 1967. In 1972, Harold graduated from St. Louis University, with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. He also became a certified public accountant the same year.
Harold was employed as an auditor at Mercantile Bank in St. Louis. In 1975, he was promoted to the position of Controller at the Kansas City location. The family relocated to Kansas City in February 1976. He worked for Mercantile Bank (later known as US Bank) until 2002. He later worked at UMB Bank until his retirement in 2015.
Harold enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, and he enjoyed working puzzles. Harold attended Calvary Lutheran Church in Kansas City, and Bethany Lutheran in Overland Park, KS.
Harold is survived by his wife Jacqueline M. Wagener, daughters Laura Crowder, Antoinette Tate, Georgette Jobe and Roberta Wagener; sons-in-law Tony Crowder and Richard Jobe; grandsons Zachary Crowder, Austin Crowder, Matthew Crowder, Joshua Crowder and Nathan Jobe; siblings Donald Wagener, wife Mary Wagener, Dea Stratton, nieces Jennifer Wagener and Angela Follen, and nephew Brian Wagener and wife Pattia.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold Wagener and Laura S. Wagener, and son-in-law Dustin R. Tate.
