Harold E. Flaigle, Sr., age 90, passed away August 3, 2014 in Topeka, KS after a brief illness.

Harold was born December 7, 1923 in Kansas City, Mo to Richard J. and Julia E. (Price) Flaigle.
He graduated from Paseo High School in 1942, and served our country in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946.
On February 12, 1949 he married the love of his life, Delores M. Saunders, in Olathe, KS.
Harold enjoyed a 30 year career as a plumber, then was employed as a custodian with USD 416.
He was a member of the Masonic Spring Hill Lodge #56, and was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and was inducted into the Abdallah Shrine Temple.
Harold and Delores were long-time members of Spring Hill United Methodist Church, and served on several committees within the church.
He will be remembered as a Gentleman Farmer, philosopher and avid reader. He was a generous father, grandfather, friend and neighbor.
He is survived by his daughter, D. Yvonne Hartner and her husband, David, and his sons Harold E. Flaigle, Jr. and his wife, Theresa, and Ron W. Flaigle and his wife, Connie, grandchildren Angela D. (Brian) Davey, Nate R. (Jamie) Flaigle, James D. (Melanie) Flaigle, Michael D. Flaigle, Will D. Hartner, and Julia D. Hartner, and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn G. and Brock R. Davey. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores, and his brothers James and Richard Flaigle, and sister Dorothy Burlingame.
