Hailu Nune, 81 years of age of Lenexa Kansas, passed away on February 20th, 2024.
Hailu was born on May 15, 1942, to his father Nune Gembello, and mother, Amosa Ageno, in the town of Kanko, Kabata Zone, Ethiopia. Hailu studied health sciences and started his first job at a pharmacy in the city of Teza. Soon after he opened his own private pharmacy and continued to expand into several locations in Hadiya zone.
On April 22, 1972, Mr Hailu Nune married Tewabech Menchamo and established his home in Kosha city. The couple went on to have 9 sons and 4 daughters, a total of 13 children. Nine of the twelve children have married and have blessed them with 28 grandchildren (15 grandsons and 13 granddaughters).
Mr Hailu Nune served his family, community, and his Lord faithfully. He was instrumental in the planting of churches across Hadiya zone serving as deacon, choir member, elder, and treasurer. Hailu was kind to countless individuals providing free medications and often donated blood to the sick under his care. Mr. Hailu Nune faithfully carried out the ministry that God required him to do and lived a meaningful life. In accordance with God's will, on Tuesday February 20th, 2024. he left to be with the Lord he always longed to be with.
