Grant David Farrell, 3, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He was born on November 30, 2018 in Olathe, Kansas to Elizabeth Farrell and Casey Evans.
Grant is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Ann Farrell of Overland Park, KS, and father, Casey Lee Evans of Dearborn, MO; siblings Jacob Russell Farrell-Evans, Olyvia Grace Farrell-Evans, and Luke Alexander Scott. His maternal grandparents, David Patrick Farrell and Barbara Ann Farrell of Stilwell, KS, paternal grandparents, Jerry Evans Jr, and Cindy Evans of Broken Bow, OK., and his aunt, Catherine Ann Farrell of Stilwell, KS.
From the day he was born, Grant would light up a room with his humor and curiosity. Never tiring of hanging out with his siblings, he especially loved being a new big brother. Grant always wanted to be outdoors, regardless of the weather. He enjoyed his trips to the Rocky Mountains the most. He was friends with everyone he met and left an impression wherever he went. Confident, funny, curious and comical even at his young age. Grant will be greatly missed by his friends and family and will forever be loved by all.
A celebration of his life and memorial will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection - Main Sanctuary, 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS 66224.
One of Grant's biggest joys was riding his tricycle and bicycle at the daycare he attended, Wee Workshop Child Development Center in Stilwell. Grant would have enjoyed a path in the playground on which to ride. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund in Grant's name to make that possible. Please consider giving to The Grant David Farrell Memorial Playground Fund c/o US Bank, 8401 W. 135th Street, Overland Park, KS 66223.
Grant, your family and friends will miss you and your joyful spirit will live on in all our hearts.
