Gordon E. Finney

Gordon was born April 9, 1960 in Spirit Lake, IA to Arnold and Carolyn Finney. Gordon enjoyed spending countless hours fishing with his sons, secretly competing to see who could catch the biggest fish. It was common to see him sitting on the couch on Sunday's supporting his team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed gaming, riding his Harley, and golfing. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and grandkids. Being their "Papa" was one of his greatest accomplishments.
Gordon was a cancer survivor, he battled colon cancer from 2012 to 2018. In November of 2018, Gordon entered remission. Throughout his battle with cancer, Gordon remained a fighter the entire time. His bold and courageous spirit will be missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Carolyn Finney.

He is survived by his spouse Kim Trout, five sons; Mike Finney (Melanie), Ty Finney (Cherry), Tyler Ganaden (Jess), Gordon Finney Jr. (Laressa), and Nickalas Finney (Tabby), step daughter Ashley Trout and 15 grandchildren Crystal, Mikala, Jackson, Jakob, BreAnna, Zhane, Gaige, Liam, Gordon III, Briley, Ashcten, Ariella, Cooper, Serenity and Austin.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
