Geraldine (Geri) Sylvia Urban Miller was born May 24, 1926 in McCook, Nebraska. After graduating from Dodge City, Kansas, High School, Mrs. Miller attended business college in Denver, Colorado.
In September 1948, she married Billy Raymond Miller, a World War II veteran, from Greensburg, Kansas. After the wedding, the Millers established their home in Overland Park, Kansas. Mr. Miller was employed with McPike, Inc. In 1958 they moved to Independence, Kansas, where they resided until Mr. Miller's death in 1992, and Mrs. Miller resided until 2004. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker, stay-at-home mother, and artist/painter. Mrs. Miller was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Independence.
For the last nine years, Mrs. Miller resided with her daughter and later at Good Samaritan Society of Olathe.
Mrs. Miller will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. She is survived by her daughter, Karin M. Humbolt, of Overland Park, Kansas. A memorial service will be planned for Mrs. Miller to be held in Independence, KS in the spring.
