Gerald Michael Murphy, 56, Olathe, KS, passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 at his home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Kansas City Hospice and/or The University of Kansas Cancer Research Center.
Gerry was born June 9, 1951 in London, Ontario, Canada living in Olathe for 16 years. He was a graduate of St. Mary's University, Nova Scotia, Canada with a degree in Finance. Gerry was President and C.E.O. of U.S. Salt Company in Overland Park, KS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Murphy; and mother, Joyce Murphy.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Sally; children, Jeremy, Ben (Kristen), grandson, Caeden; and brothers, Mike, Pat, Sean, Tim, and Darren.
