GERALD "JERRY" MINSHALL
Age 61, passed away October 26, 2010 in Overland Park, KS. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS where the family will receive friends at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in care of the family.
Jerry was born July 3, 1949 in Jefferson City, MO to Gerald and Helen Minshall. He graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1967, and went on to marry Linda Johnson in 1970. In 1986, they moved their family to the Olathe area.
Jerry and his wife, Linda, started their carpet cleaning business in 1978, and over the years was able to work with his sons, Chris, Matthew, and Micah, and his brother, Dave, as the business grew.
He enjoyed fishing and barbequing with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Linda, of the home, his children Chris Minshall, Matthew (Tiffany) Minshall , Micah Minshall and his girlfriend, Kelli, Andrew Minshall, and Sarah (Devin) Campbell, four grandchildren Caleb, Ashlyn, Abigail, and Nathan. He is also survived by his brother Dave (Cindy) Minshall, and his sisters Lelia (Bill) Lancaster, and Ann McPherson.
Jerry was a wonderful husband and father, and a compassionate and caring man of deep faith. Rain , snow, or shine, he was always there to help in any way he was needed. He is loved and will be greatly missed.
