George Duwayne Radmall, Jr.

George D. Radmall, Jr. was born on January 19, 1937 and passed on October 19, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Carol June (Gulley) Radmall; his two daughters: JunAnn (Ron) Horton of Leawood, KS and Tara (Jeff) Fitzpatrick of Overland Park; three granddaughters: Sarah Ann Horton, Teagan Lee Fitzpatrick, and Kylie June Fitzpatrick; two sisters: Carol Netter and Anna Lou Nicholls; four nieces and four nephews; extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, George D. Radmall in 1981 and Glenna (Clow) Radmall in 2006.

He graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1955 and went on to earn his B.S. in chemistry from Central Missouri State. Upon graduation, he went to work for Consumer's Cooperative Association in North KC in the Research and Development division. It was there that he met his future wife, Carol, and they were married in a beautiful, simple ceremony in her home on Saturday, September 15, 1962. They drove to Columbia, MO that night and were both in class on Monday morning at the University of Missouri, which was where he earned his M.S. in Animal Science.

In the spring of 1965, George, Carol, and their baby girl, JunAnn, moved to Birmingham, AL where he went to work for Cosby Hodges Chemical and Milling Co. in the Research division. Their second baby girl, Tara, was born in Birmingham, and in the late summer of 1966, they moved back to Overland Park, KS where George went to work for Thompson Hayward Chemical Co. and was with them until the spring of 1984, at which time his department was sold to Duphar Nutrition, a Dutch Pharmaceutical Co., and a division of Solvay America.

In September of 1984, both daughters were attending the University of Kansas, and George and Carol relocated to Waukegan, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he worked for Duphar Nutrition as sales manager and director of operations until that facility was closed in 1992. He then worked from their home in Waukegan for two years as a sales agent for Charles Bowman and Co. located in Holland, Michigan. In June of 1994, George and Carol moved back home to their present location in Leawood, KS, where they have lived for 24 years, and George continued working for Charles Bowman for several more years.

George was a member of the Animal Health Association, the Animal Science Association, the Poultry Science Institute, and the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church and a firm believer in God.

George's family extends their deep gratitude to the caring staff at Villa Saint Joseph and to his Ascend Hospice care team. His final days were better because of their wonderful manner and skills on his behalf.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Children's Mercy Hospital, I Love Children's Mercy Fund, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO 64108-9883.

The memorial service will be held at the Community of Christ Church, 800 W. South Street, Harrisonville, MO on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Visitation at 1:00 PM, and celebration of life service at 2:00 PM. Parking is in the back of the church on Harvey Street.
