George Robert Morse

July 5, 1927 — December 3, 2018

George Robert Morse, 91, passed away Dec. 3, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Celebration of Life will be from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2018 at Hallbrook Country Club in Leawood, Kansas.

George is survived by wife, Patricia Morse; brothers, Warren Morse and Charles Morse (deceased) (Vernita Morse - deceased); and children: Frank Morse, Sally (Morse) Sutera (Charles Sutera), Mitch Morse (Kim Morse) and Michael Morse (deceased). First wife, Dixie DeWeese (deceased) and in-laws Harold & Trudy DeWeese (deceased), George had nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

George was born in Bevier, MO to parents Frank and Ruby Morse. He was the middle child which might explain why he ended up always being the center of attention. If there was a microphone, you could guarantee he would take it for a rendition of "It's Hard to Be Humble."

In 1954, he married his first love, Dixie. In his early years, he was one of top auctioneers in the country. His career took him to amazing places and introduced him to many beloved friends. He loved MU, singing, playing golf, horses and trail rides with the Holy Ghost Riders in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 1994, George got re-married to Patty Morse, who he adored and spent 25 wonderful years with.

To know him was to love him. He was in fact one hell of a man.
