George Harrison

George J. Harrison, 83, of Olathe, KS passed away Friday April 23, 2010 at Menorah Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Wed. April 28 at the First Baptist Church, Olathe, KS, a private burial following. Friends may call from 12-1:00 PM Wed. at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Central Baptist Theological Seminary.

George was born July 22, 1926 in Motherwell, Scotland, the son of Majory and George Harrison. They came to the United States that same year. He graduated from Bob Jones University. He served in World War II and Korea. He served as pastor in numerous Baptist Churches in the Kansas City area. He retired from Bank Midwest in 2004.

He married Carol Craig in 1986. He is survived by his wife, of the home, one son Mark Harrison, daughters Hillary Boyd (Benton) and Whitney Dent (Jason), and eight grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his son Gordon Harrison.

George was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
