George Robert (Bowers) Adams, 70, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2017 at his home in Olathe, KS.
He was born on October 27, 1946 in Bonner Springs, KS.
George worked as a Mechanic for Dover Elevator.
On April 16, 1975, he married Kristy Hickman, and they made their home in Olathe, KS.
George enjoyed his family and his hobbies including building models, working on cars, and collecting coins and stamps.
George is survived by his loving wife Kristy of 41 years, his sons John Adams and his wife Jenny, and Mike Adams and family, his brother Charles Everett Bowers, sisters Mary Kane and Virginia Yoke, and his grandchildren Jaylee and Jentry Adams.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Everett Bowers and his mother Mary Bowers (Coffield).
He will be missed and was loved by all that knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 1:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS with a visitation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Crossroads Hospice.
