GEORGE LOWE, age 86, passed away October 26, 2011 in Lenexa, Kansas. A Gathering of Friends will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 305 North Pearl, Paola, KS 66071. Private family services will be held. Memorials are suggested to the Alex Lowe Memorial Cancer Fund, c/o KU Cancer Center, 3901 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66160.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, his children Serena Shaffer and husband Mitch of Tallahassee, FL, Zach Lowe & wife Stacey of Hamilton, OH, Dan Lowe and wife Peggy of Prairie Village KS, and John Lowe and wife Heather of Colorado Springs, CO, thirteen grand children, seven great-grandchildren, and a loving and supportive niece, Dr. Jennifer Huggins, and her six siblings. Also surviving is his sister, Margaret DeVault. He was preceded in death by his son Alex Lowe, and his brother, Roy Lowe.
