Gennettie Thurman

Gennettie I."Nettabelle" Thurman, 95, of Paola, KS passed away Monday May 14, 2012 at Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the First Christian Church of Olathe memorial fund.
Nettabelle was born April 11, 1917 in Pond Creek, OK to Vincent and Alma (Berry) McCoy. She is an alumni of Phillips University in Enid, OK. She served for many years as the church secretary at First Christian Church of Olathe, and worked with the youth group. She was a house wife and mother and wonderful grandmother that will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Earl Thurman and two brothers Aaron and Jerome McCoy and her grandson Benjamin Goddard.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Powles and husband Loren of Olathe, KS and Betty Goddard of Paola, KS. One aunt Winifred Hutton of Enid, OK. 8 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
