Geneva Mae Medlin

GENEVA MAE MEDLIN, age 79, passed away after a long battle with cancer on January 21, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24 from 6:00-8:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS followed by funeral services on Tuesday, January 25 at 1:00 pm also in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Kansas City Hospice House.
Geneva was a member of Oxford Missionary Baptist Church in Olathe, KS for many years.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, George Medlin, their children Debbie (Richard) Kinsey, Janet (Jim) Johnson, Bruce Medlin, and Lois Moore, six grandchildren; Chris (Jody) Johnson, Becky Johnson, Josh Moore, Jessie Johnson, Samantha Moore, and Rachel Kinsey, great-grandchildren; Xanthe and Tahni Resz , her sisters Vinnie Brown and Lorene Harper, and her brother, Joe (Helen) Pinkley.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Nellie Pinkley, her son Lewis, in 2005, her brothers Orville, Virgil, Gordon"Slim", Herscheline, John, and Gail, her sister, Virginia, her mother and father-in-law Jasper and Ida Medlin, her brother-in-law, Frank Medlin, and many other loved ones.
