Mr. Gene N. Cage, age 84, passed away December 29, 2007 in Overland Park, KS. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 515 S. Ridgeview, Olathe, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Interment, Olathe Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the church.

Gene was born April 18, 1923 in Cummings, Iowa to Cecil and Velma Cage. He graduated from Gilmore City High School , and served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He married Martha Claussen on December 3, 1944.

He was employed with New Holland Farm Machine Co. for over 35 years, retiring as a District Sales Manager. Gene enjoyed gardening, and working in his yard. He was quick to share the fruits of his labor with others, giving away tomatoes and apples.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha, his children, Brian (Diana) Cage, Curtis (Charlene) Cage, Kent (Shelia) Cage, and Neal Cage, grandchildren; Kirsten, Elliott, Tarah, Laura, Quentin, Evan, Emily, and Thomas, and great-grandchildren; Jaden, Taylor, and Ethan. He is also survived by his brother, Everett Cage.
