Gayle Ann Joiner

Gayle Ann Joiner, born April 15, 1941 and passed away on January 17, 2025. She was the third child of Lawrence and Viola Hoeppner, born in Mayview, MO. 

Graduated Corder High School in 1959 Salutatorian. She played basketball all four years and was a cheerleader. She worked in the insurance industry for forty years and retired on December 31, 2006.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Kay Rolan, a bonus grandson, Israel Houk, and several brother-in-laws. 

She is survived by her daughter, Sonja (Cecil) Houk of Lees Summit, MO, grandchildren, Levi Houk of Ypsilanti, MI, Kenneth (Misty) Houk of Bolivar, MO, and Kayli Houk of Kansas City, MO, three sisters, Iola Jean Rogers of Anacortes, WA, Nyla Hoeppner of Independence, MO, Ruth Bellmer of Georgetown, TX, and a brother, Larry (Teresa) Hoeppner of Higginsville, MO, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive guests for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00-12:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel's Olathe Chapel.
