Gary Anderson

Gary M. Anderson, age 64, of Olathe, KS passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at home. He was born on November 8, 1944 in Kansas City, KS. Gary was a graduate of Washington High School, class of 1962. He was employed in various occupations, including work as a cable installer for Western Electric and a driver for Simmons. Gary enjoyed seeing the beauty of the United States in his travels for work. Gary never knew a stranger; he was a friend to all who crossed his path. He was a loving and supportive father who always made time for his daughters. He was always armed with a smile and a joke, and a spare moment to chat. He will be greatly missed. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Clyde E. Anderson and Martha J. Anderson. Gary is survived by his daughters Kristy Anderson West of Phoenix and Lindy Anderson of Lenexa; grandchildren Austin Cabrera and Gabrielle Cabrera of Shawnee; sisters Kathy Trent of Parkville and Vicky Anderson of Shawnee; nephew Jason Trent of Kansas City and two great-nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS. Friends may call from 1-2:00 PM at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
