Frederick (Fred) Michael Breitenbach, 88, of Olathe, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on July 15th, 2021. He passed away due to complications at Olathe Medical Center.
Fred was born January 28, 1933 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Fred is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. He went on to serve in the US Army during the Korean war. After the war Fred acted as an English and Science teacher at the high school level for a short period in Marathon Wisconsin. He began his career in the beverage industry with the local Coca Cola bottling plant in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This career would span several decades and was concluded with positions he held in the Kansas City metro area serving the Midwest region of the country.
In his spare time, he loved being outdoors tending to his yard and garden, and spending time with his family and friends. Fred was a talker and a people person and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was an avid NFL football fan and also loved to travel and was able to visit many interesting places throughout his life. Fred's favorite saying was "Give Em Hell", and this is how he lived his life always giving 100% and always earning everything that came to him.
He was a kind and loving partner to his spouse Sandy and deceased wife Ellen, as well as an amazing father to his daughter Jody and son Rick.
Fred is survived by his wife Sandy, his sister Suzie, his daughter Jody, his son Rick, and grand children Ryan, Trevor, Alex and Katie.
The family will be holding a celebration of Fred's life on July 31st, 2021 starting at 2:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Black Bob Rd, Olathe Kansas 66062. After a brief ceremony at the funeral home and then dedication at the cemetery, we will begin the celebration at 4pm at Austin's Bar and Grill, 245 N Moonlight Rd, Gardner Kansas 66030.
