FREDA B. RASMUSSEN

Age 85, passed away June 4, 2006 in Olathe, KS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 11800 W. 151st Street, Olathe, KS, with a committal service at 4:30 p.m. at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita, KS. The family suggests remembrances to Advent Lutheran Church.
Freda was born February 25, 1921 in West Plains, MO to Frank and Carrie Shofler. She graduated from Wichita East High School, and married Albert J. Rasmussen on November 14, 1943. They raised their family in the Wichita area, where they were active members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Finnerty and her husband, Brian, of Olathe, KS, and her son Gary Rasmussen and his wife, Carol , of Broken Arrow, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan Finnerty, Amy Finnerty, Britt Rasmussen and his wife, Valquirea, her brother Frank Shofler and sister Eva Slosar, both of Wichita, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert, her sister, Gladys Tuders, and her brother Albert D. Shofler.
