Franklin Folsom, Sr., 92, Merriam, Kansas passed away Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Sharon Lane Nursing Center in Shawnee, KS. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Monday, June21, 2004 at White City Christian Church in White City, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm on Sunday at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 143rd & Blackbob Rd. (913)768-6777, Olathe, KS. The family suggests contributions to White City Historical Museum, White City, Kansas.

Frank was born April 27, 1912 in Okmulgee, OK living in White City, Kansas 1938 to 1956 when he moved his family to Kansas City. He worked for the M.K.T. Railroad as a Section Foreman in White City and Yard Foreman in Kansas City until his retirement.

He was a member of White City Christian Church, was a member of the White City Masonic Lodge for 55+ years, the City Council, School Board, volunteer Fire Department, and Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters a brother.

He leaves his wife of 70 years, Waunita O. Folsom of the home, son, Franklin Folsom, Jr. and wife Marlene of Lenexa, KS, a daughter, Patsy Anderson and husband Leland of DeLand, Fl., grand daughters, Debra Lemons, Wendy Anderson, Lynn Folsom, and Gina Naas, great grandchildren, Ken Lemons, Hali Durnell, Kyra Grady, Taylor and Kalli Lemons, Austin Mace, and Clara Wait.
