Frank Leo Stretz, 85, was called to eternal life November 12, 2005 in Olathe, KS. Frank was born April 27, 1920 in Boonville, MO. He met the love of his life, Catherine while an engineer for North American Aviation during World War II. He began a family while a research analyst and assistant to the president of the Kansas City Public Service Company. He eventually retired after 30 years of dedicated service with the Chrysler Corporation where he rose first to National Sales Promotion Manager for Chrysler and Imperial and later to National Sales Manager for the Chrysler Marine Division. He started a successful second career in Real Estate and even dabbled in polities as a County Supervisor. A co-founder of the Saint Philippine Du Chesne 4th degree Knights of Columbus and devoted member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis, Frank was steadfast in his faith and an inspiration to his family and all who knew him. Grandpa loved family. He and his beloved wife of 62 years reveled in all its celebrations from baptisms and birthdays to weddings. He was also a gifted problem solver who unselfishly shared his special talents as we eagerly sought his advice. He was compassionate and giving. He was passionate about everything he did. He was a blessing to us all. Frank is survived by his wife Catherine; daughters, Sharon Khoury and husband Richard, sister Mary Agnes (Peggy Stretz), Sandy Sola and husband Vince; sons, Frank Stretz and wife Paula, John Stretz; grandchildren Elaina Boudreau and husband Bryan, Rick Khoury, Peggy Bennet and husband Jeff, Mike Sola and wife Christen, Jim Sola and wife Kaily, Debbie Straub and husband Hank, Rick Sola and wife Lindsey, Jamie Stretz, Kelly Stretz, Lisa Stretz, Katie Stretz; 11 greatgrandchildren; sister Mildred Cheney and many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Harland, Jerome, Hillard, Gregory; and with 2 sisters, Glorine Stretz and Violet Stretz. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all his family.
