Frank was born November 18, 1930, in Carrington, North Dakota, and had lived
in Olathe since 1950. He was a graduate of Carrington High School in
Carrington, North Dakota. He attended McPherson College in McPherson,
Kansas, where he met Betty J. Redinger. They were married on June 9, 1950.
He managed the Kroger Store in Olathe in the 1950's and 1960's, and later
worked for the Pillsbury Company until his retirement in 1989. He went on to
work part-time for Dial Corporation until 1997. He was also a wedding and
portrait photographer for over 50 years.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren all his life. At the Olathe
Church of the Brethren, where he was a member since 1950, he taught Sunday
School, sang in the choir and held various offices including Deacon and
Chairman of the Board. He was also a charter member of the Olathe Jaycees
and a member of TPA.
He leaves his wife Betty J. (Redinger) Lutz of the home, a son: Steven F. Lutz
of Oak Brook, Illinois, a daughter: Pamela J. & husband J. Michael Haskin of
Olathe, Kansas, two grandchildren: Karla J. Manis and Eric L. Manis both of
Olathe, Kansas.
