Frances Speers

Frances L. Speers, 86, of Olathe, KS passed away Tuesday January 25, 2011 at Lakeview Village Retirement Community. She was born September 13, 1924 in Desoto, KS to Earl and Lulu Tripkos. Frances and her husband Don owned and operated the Olathe Nursery for many years. She was also an accomplished seamstress and clothes designer and known for her matching outfits. She was an active member of the Lakeview Community, Lakeview Church Choir, and the Lakeview band. She always enjoyed her time with her many friends at Lakeview Village.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Virgil Tripkos.
She is survived by her brother Melvin Tripkos of Overland Park, KS, her sister-in-law Mary Lou Speers of Lenexa, KS, nephew Kent Speers, Blanchard, OK, niece Paula Buckley of Colorado Springs, CO, and niece Gina Brock of Catlettesburg, KY.
