Frances Joyce Keck, 71, passed away May 16 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Northeast H.S. She was married to Gary Keck 48 years ago in KC.
She is survived by her husband, daughters Michele Keck of Olathe, KS; Wendy Hanson of Lenexa, KS; 2 grandchildren Cole & Sydney Hanson both of Lenexa, KS; Brothers Errol Tompkins of Castle Rock, CO and Dean Tompkins of Blue Springs, MO; and a sister Norma Johnson of Smithville, MO. She was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. She worked at the Kansas School for the Deaf for 24 years as a Dormatory Teacher. She also worked several years as a sign language interpreter for the Olathe Deaf Community. She loved being outdoors and her flower gardens. She also liked to travel and spend time hanging out with her friends. She will truly be missed. Those who knew her will have many fond memories of their time with her.
