FORREST DAVID JACKSON
Age 78, went home to be with Lord on October 2, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. The family suggests memorials to the Prairie Center Church of God, 105 S. Montclaire, Olathe, KS 66061, for the benefit of church camping scholarships.
Forrest was born June 20, 1930 in Hastings, Michigan, to Forrest and Eleanor Jackson. He served our country in the US Army, 82nd Airborne, and is a Korean War Veteran. He was married to Jean Blackburn on April 22, 1951, and together they raised their family in the Kansas City area.
He was employed with the Johnson County Sheriff's Department for the last 10 years, and was previously employed with the Greb X-ray Company for 28 years. He was a member of the DeSoto VFW Post # 6654, and Forrest and his wife, Jean, are long-time members of the Prairie Center Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home, his son Mike Jackson and his wife, Jeri, of Olathe, and his daughter Kim Buff and her husband, Cecil of Olathe. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Widener, in 1988. He is also survived by his grand-children, Crystal Fuller and her husband, Scott, of Olathe, Kelli Broers and husband Steven of Olathe, Stephanie Hutcheson and husband Jon of Olathe, and Joshua Widener and wife, Michelle of Shawnee, Spencer Buff, Alexis Buff, and Blake Buff, all of Olathe, and five great-grandchildren, Drew Fuller, Jared Fuller, Sophia Hutcheson,Dakota Broers, and Logan Widener. He is also survived by four sisters, and one brother. He was preceded in death by one brother.
