Flor Maria Rigsby, 64, of Olathe, KS (formerly of Clarksville, TN) died Sat. May 20, 2017.
Flor was born Dec. 28, 1952 in Lima, Peru to Aristides and Maria Herrer. She grew up in Peru and Panama before attending the University of Texas in 1975. She was a passionate Spanish teacher and professor of all ages. She enjoyed spending time with her family, walking, dogs, bargaining for a good deal and salsa dancing.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and is survived by her son Chris Rigsby and wife Jessica of Olathe, KS, her sister Raquel Herrer and her granddaughter Clara Rigsby.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Humane Society.
