Everardo Gomez, 75, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021. He was born on September 4, 1945 in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico to Salvador and Lydia Gomez.
Everardo was born in Leon Mexico and later moved to Kansas City Missouri where he became a naturalized US citizen. Everardo worked and retired from Sunshine Biscuits. He loved to play pool and soccer and loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs. His greatest joy and treasures in life was his marriage to Marjorie, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Everardo is survived by his daughter, Raquel (Doug) Carley; son, Eddie Gomez; daughter, Marcella (Chris) Shapiro; granddaughter, Lexi Carley; grandson Nicholas Reinsch; granddaughter, Bernadette Carrier; great grandchildren, Savannah Reinsch, Sebastian Carrier, Xavier Carrier, Anthony Reinsch; sisters; Altagracia Gomez Flanigan Proffer, Maria Edith Gomez Scharff, Lydia Gomez Kelly, Teresa Gomez Terrazas; and brother Salvador Gomez
He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Gomez, parents; Salvador and Lydia Gomez, sisters; Martha Gomez Fuller, Maria de Lourdes Gomez Carter; brother Manuel Gomez.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
