Ernest A. Maass, 88, Olathe, KS, passed away, Sunday, October 30, 2011. The family suggests contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
Ernest was born in St. Louis, MO. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. He then went off to serve in the United States Army in WWII. He retired from General American and moved to Kansas City to join family.
Ernest was an avid bowler and won numerous awards. He was also a passionate St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his cousin; Anita Maass Able.
He is survived by his wife; Mary Ann Maass, daughter; Linda (Kevin) Joerling, son; Steven (Stephanie) Maass, and 6 grandchildren; Jason, Mark and Lisa Joerling, and Spencer, Hunter, and Carter Maass.
