Enid Henning Leigh, age 87 of Olathe, KS, passed away May 9, 2011 in Olathe. She will be honored in church on May 29, 2011 in Mellette, SD. Memorials are suggested to Northwestern United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 43, Mellette, SD 57461.
Enid was born on July 2, 1923 in Northville to Dewey Herman Henning and Edith Mildred (Batteen) Henning. She was a graduate of Northville High School and went on to attend Aberdeen Business College.
She was a long-time member of the Northwestern United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Swanson of Olathe, KS, Barbara Schnedeker of Fanwood, NJ, and her son, Jeffrey Leigh of Chicago, IL, her sister Dortha Salvaag of Laurel, MT, and her grandchildren Eric and Peder Swanson, Lori Schnedeker Kaprowski, Bryan Schnedeker, Laila Leigh Lawson, Julie Schnedeker Davidoski, and Sheva Leigh, and great-grandchildren Annabeth, David, Jonathan, Audrey, Isaac, Aubrey, Esther, James and Juliana.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Robert Leigh, sister E. Grace Brown, and her brother Donald R. Henning.
