Emma Heusner

Emma Elizabeth "Betty" Heusner, age 82, of Lenexa, KS passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2006 in Overland Park, KS.

Betty was born September 22, 1923 in Emporia, Kansas to William T. and Margie I. Mercer. She married John Joseph on June 10, 1943 in Olpe, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1969, but together they set the foundation for a close and loving family in which they instilled strong Christian principals of faith in God and tenderness to the less fortunate. After John passed away she succeeded in accomplishing his dying wish that all of their children have a college education. His early death necessitated her achieving success in the professional world, which she did with Panhandle Pipeline Company. Also preceding her in death; son-in-law, David Krausse and sister, Dorothy Johnson.

She leaves four children; John Wayne & wife Barbara Heusner, Tima Sue Krausse, Jan and husband Keith Atchley, and Barbara and husband Randy Morgan, 8 grandchildren, Patricia Ann Heusner, John Patrick and wife Bindu Heusner, John David Krausse, Trina Sue Krausse, Tima Suzanne Krausse, Sarah Lynn and husband Chris Eckes, Margaret Beth Morgan, and Michael James Morgan; one great grandson, Ryan Christopher Eckes; sister, Wilma Durham, and many dear friends.
