"Toby" Emelda Broyard Hayes of Pineville, Louisiana passed away peacefully on July 9, 2016 at Hospice House, Olathe, Kansas surrounded by her family. She was 80 years old.
She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Esther and Emanuel Broyard Sr., her son David Howell Sr., her brothers ONeil Broyard, twin brother Emanuel "Billy" Broyard Jr., Eric Broyard and her sister Marlene Maas.
Toby lived many years in Pineville, Louisiana but was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Academy of Holy Angels and was described in her yearbook "lovable imp who provokes laughter". She also attended Loyola University. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Junior League's New to You, Pinecrest State School Christmas Society, St. Nicholas Society.
She had a love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Deneen Hayes of Pineville, Louisiana and Bonnie Hayes Haase (Mark) of Olathe, Kansas.
Private services for the family will be held in New Orleans. In lieu of floral arrangements, donations can be made to the Hospice House/Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation, 20375 West 151st, Suite 363, Olathe, Kansas, 66061 or online olathehealth.org.
