JoAnn Carpenter Brink died on September 1, 2021.
She was born October 14, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended schools in Kansas City, Kansas, Wellsville, Kansas and Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas.
She married James L. Bachelor in 1951. He predeceased her in 1980. They are survived by two sons, Tom Bachelor and Jeffrey Bachelor of Olathe, Kansas. She married William L. Brink in 1963. He predeceased her in 1994.
Mrs. Brink had a varied career as a school teacher, social worker in Miami and Johnson Counties, KS, legal secretary and executive secretary of the Olathe United Way until her retirement in 1984.
She was a member of Sigma Iota Psy at Ottawa University; was First Lady of W.B.C.C. International K.C. Unit; a past President of the KC Branch of Lambda Tau Delta, Alpha Upsilon Chapter, a Philanthropic Society.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Olathe, KS. She was saved by Grace June 7, 1939 and baptized later in life, 1961.
She is survived by her two sons, Tom and Jeffrey Bachelor, and 4 stepchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. All of her children have brought joy into her life. Her sons, Tom and Jeff brightened her days and showed her love unconditionally. Her dear friend Bill Garton brought her loving friendship and they shared many happy times together. Her "daughter" Amy Sue Bliss who has loved and cared for her since she was age 11, through good and bad times and always with love.
