Elizabeth (Morton) Arth died at home on May 12, 2011 in Olathe, Kansas.
Liz was born in Boonville on January, 23, 1932. She married Donald Arth there in 1953 and began a life as an Air Force wife. Liz was the proud mother of nine children: Susan Pharo, Michael (Lisa) Arth, Pat Heath, James Arth, Kathleen (Bill) Carano, Matthew (Julie) Arth, Beth (Andrew) Wright, Christopher (Dana) Arth, and John Arth. Liz is also survived by one sister, Mary Frances Oswald, 26 grandchildren, and a large extended family.
Liz was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She was always active in base chapel activities while her husband served in the Air Force. After retirement to civilian life she continued with many local parish activities. She was the coordinator for parish meals served at St. Mary's food kitchen, Kansas City, KS for more than 25 years. Liz was also proud to be a charter member of the Johnson County Serra Club, an international organization which supports priestly vocations.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Johnson County Serra Club or to Hospice of Olathe Medical Center.
