Eileen Marie Rawert

Eileen Marie Rawert, 83, of Overland Park, passed away on February 25, 2019. She was born on December 30, 1935 to William and Irma Welch in New Albany, IN.

Eileen was the youngest of seven children while growing up in New Albany. She married the love of her life, H. S., Rawert on February 15, 1958. The couples journey started in Louisville, KY where they had three children. They spent fifteen wonderful years in Louisville before relocating to St. Louis, MO. Their final destination landed them in Overland Park, KS.

Eileen was a devoted and loving Mother. Eileen was proud of her family and very excited to become a grandma to her four grandchildren. Eileen loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. Eileen would spend hours cooking and preparing for her guests. Eileen enjoyed shopping, reading, and movies. Eileen was most known for her love of gin rummy but loved all games.

Eileen was the beloved wife of the late H.S. Rawert, devoted mother of Karen Clark (Mark), the late Mark Rawert (Karen), and Amy Warsop (Mike). Eileen was the loving grandmother of Mark, Michele, Katie, and Carolyn.

The family will receive guests for a visitation on Friday, March 1, 2019, from 5:00-7:00pm at Penwell-Gabel's Olathe Chapel, with a Rosary following at 7:00pm. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, at 10:30am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, followed by burial in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa.
